Veza Digital runs its own Quality of Earnings on Finsider

“The fact that we can see everything on a dashboard is a complete game changer.”
Stefan Katanic, CEO, Veza Digital

The problem

Veza Digital is part of the Veza Agency Network, which is growing through acquisitions. Every acquisition meant an analyst pulling the target's books, bank statements and tax filings into spreadsheets before the team could ask a single real question. Stefan put that at two to three weeks of work per deal, spread across separate reports and Google Sheets.

What changed

When a marketing agency target came up in October 2026, the team ran the diligence themselves on Finsider instead of waiting on an outside firm. The target connected QuickBooks Online read-only and linked its bank accounts through Plaid, and Finsider assembled the diligence picture on one dashboard. The cash proof tied out for every linked account, and a coverage view showed which accounts and months still needed statements.

Revenue by customer surfaced a large customer dropping off after January, and the diligence adjustment engine flagged an out-of-period revenue swing, so the first questions for the seller were clear from day one. The team then built the deal itself in Finsider's model, with the bank facility and a subordinated seller note, so lenders see terms that sit on the same numbers the diligence produced.

Results

“This usually takes two to three weeks to get this kind of information. And your pricing structure, very well done, because that's what we paid an analyst to put this stuff together before. You have everything in a few hours, maybe one day for everything to propagate, and it's organized nicely. I don't have to flip through different reports and different Google Sheets. It's all in one place.”
Stefan Katanic, CEO, Veza Digital
“One thing I want to show my lenders, which I really liked about your platform, is the deal terms and how we're proposing them.”

iTValuations takes MSP sellers to market with the Quality of Earnings already done

“I'm optimistic we'll have a few more at bats for you guys here the rest of the year.”
Corey Kerns, VP of M&A, iTValuations

The problem

iTValuations is a Twin Cities M&A firm that works only with managed services providers. MSP sellers often run several entities on different accounting systems, and the Quality of Earnings is where their deals stall. Corey described one seller going to market for the third time.

“Historically, they've tried to go to market, I think this will be their third time, so they kind of got always stuck at quality of earnings.”
Corey Kerns, VP of M&A, iTValuations

Consolidating that kind of business by hand is slow and easy to get wrong, and Corey said as much about a six-entity deal.

“We can obviously do this, but it's going to be so manual and it's going to be such a cluster.”
Corey Kerns, VP of M&A, iTValuations

What changed

Since January 2026 Forward Firm has run buy-side and sell-side Quality of Earnings engagements on iTValuations deals, all delivered on Finsider. Forward Firm connects each seller's books to Finsider, which consolidates multiple entities with intercompany eliminations, maps the chart of accounts at 95% accuracy on the first pass, and tests 100% of transactions. The cash proof runs inside the platform, so the CPA team starts from reconciled numbers.

iTValuations builds the Quality of Earnings into its sell-side retainer, so the seller goes to market with a report a buyer's diligence team can work from. Forward Firm splits its fee across signing, report delivery and closing, so iTValuations isn't carrying the full cost until the deal closes.

Results

On one sell-side deal, the Quality of Earnings went straight into the buyer's data room at LOI, where the buyer's own diligence team picked it up.

Private equity buyerDelivered by Forward Firm on Finsider

A buyer closes on a deadline its lender could live with

“I know I put you on a crazy timeline, and there were a lot of stop-starts. I seriously owe you one.”
Managing Partner, private equity buyer

The problem

On an earlier acquisition, the buyer hired an outside reviewer whose Quality of Earnings the lender wouldn't accept.

“We had some guy do the Quality of Earnings, and I couldn't submit it to the lender and get that deal done.”
Managing Partner, private equity buyer

What changed

On its next acquisition, the buyer used Forward Firm for the buy-side Quality of Earnings, run on Finsider, through a compressed timeline with plenty of stops and starts. The cash proof tied cleanly, and this time the lender got a Quality of Earnings it could underwrite.

Results

$1.5M came off the purchase price after diligence.

“You're good at it. I really appreciate this one.”

Marketers in Demand runs a partner buyout on a 100-day clock

“That's where Finsider, I think, is a great fit for a deal like this.”
Tristan Pelligrino, Co-Founder, Marketers in Demand

The problem

Tristan's group was buying out partners under a partnership agreement with about a 100-day deadline. The business already had a fractional CFO, so a full Quality of Earnings wasn't the priority, but the buyers still needed to do their own diligence fast.

What changed

The team connected the business to Finsider in October 2026 and is running its diligence in the platform, with Forward Firm on call for support.
